Paperless Flight Bag™ solutions for iOS hardware units are focused on efficiency and safety-enhancing modules which utilize the natural workflow values of iOS to full extent.  Paperless Flight Bag™ for iOS is a powerful and efficient platform which allows a high degree of customizations for cockpit crews while matching all your current and future mission types and reporting requirements.

The Paperless Flight Bag™ for iOS enables pilots to perform critical planning, calculations and reporting for entire flight from their mobile devices, improving convenience and reducing paperwork.  All actions and computations are monitored and logged on central servers to preserve data for tracking, flight analysis and legal documentation.

The modules offered for the Paperless Flight Bag™ iOS solution

  • Back-Office portal engine – covering administrator functions, user and hardware unit administration, data import/export from/to back-end IT systems, data export/import to/from the EFB units fully encrypted, flight data and reports storage, track and trace of all activities taking place on each specific EFB unit along with data analysis functions and database/update synchronization functions.
  • Document Management & Library Module – can by synchronized with DMS/CMS and In-house folder systems
  • Voyage/Journey Log Module – covering Pre-flight and Post-flight reporting including Fuel reporting and all required reporting data
  • Electronic Flight Planning Module – provides import of Flight Briefing information, weather, notams, wind charts, wx charts and eOFP Fuel and Time checks, RVSM checks
  • Electronic Weather and Notam Module – provides software embedded data presentation of weather and notams with integrated customized colour coding of threshold warning values
  • ATC & ATIS Note Taker Module – enable shorthand notes for Clearances and ATIS wx reports and Notes including keyboard entries
  • Mass & Balance/eLoadsheet Module – provides the crew with a complete Loadsheet and Last Minutes Change functions with electronic sign-off and distribution of final signed Loadsheet to ground recipients.
  • Static Loadsheet Import & View Module – import of Ground generated Loadsheets for upload into the EFB system with electronic sign-off.
  • Take-Off Performance Integration Module – provides ON-line or OFF-line capable Performance calculation functions depending on operating system and Performance vendor
  • Landing Performance integration Module – provides OFF-line capable Performance calculation functions
  • eTechlog Module – covers MEL & Defect Reporting export function with Flight Release and Corrective Action import, incl. Mechanic’s Aircraft Module

Pricing policy

The customer is charged a license fee per module per aircraft tail per month that is in operational use.  IFS do not operate with any per-User fees.  Discounts are available based on the number of aircraft on subscription.  Depending on the type of modules, the number of aircraft types and engine versions aircraft specific set up fees might apply.  The charges will cover the man-hours used to set up the selected module functions in the application for the customer and performing the standard customization process. Further variables include customization of modules for particular customer needs as well as stepped payment terms for the initial set-up charges in relation to the project implementation time lines.
